CHRISTMAS DRIVE
We have begun our holiday efforts and currently have 89 families enrolled in our program this year. Due to the current state of the economy, this is a record number of families in need of our assistance this year.
Volunteers are visiting senior citizens aged 81+ this weekend. As a part of the visit, the volunteers are handing out delicious apple cinnamon breads made by Henry’s Market. We have approximately 585 senior citizens that will receive a visit. We will also visit approximately 120 Ipswich senior citizens living in nursing homes over the next couple of weeks. These volunteers will also deliver a small gift to the residents.
Our next planned event is on Saturday, December 13th. Many volunteers will meet at the Ipswich Senior Center at 10:30AM and sort through all of the donated toys and assign them to children in Ipswich Caring. If you would like to help that day, please stop by.
At this point, all of the other volunteer assignments are filled. Please visit the How to Help section for further information.
We are still accepting referrals for new families in need of our assistance. Please visit the How to Receive Help section for further information.
